Assessment and AI

Keep a simple log of your AI use

Examiners mark what you can show you understand, so honest AI use needs a paper trail. Keep a three-line log for each assignment: the tool, the prompt, and what you changed afterwards. Example: 'Asked AI for counterarguments to my fee policy thesis; rejected two as unsupported; rewrote the third using Source B.' If your university asks for a declaration, the log makes it quick and accurate. It also protects you, because you can explain every sentence you submit, which is exactly what an oral check tests.

Try this today: Pick one past assignment and write a three-line AI log for it, even if you used no AI. Mark which sentences you could defend aloud.
